F5 are delighted to be working with a global leader in SpaceTech, who are looking for multiple software engineers with experience in developing software for mission-critical/safety-critical applications across the full stack.
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, build dynamic and responsive user interfaces, and manage high-performance databases, to deliver reliable software solutions.
Expertise in the space sector or adjacent industries (e.g. defence, aviation, telecommunications, and/or automotive) is essential, more so for senior candidates.
Essential skills:
- Experience in full-stack software development for mission-critical/safety-critical applications.
- Prior experience working in Space or an adjacent industry (e.g. defence, aviation, telecommunications, and/or automotive)
- Strong object-oriented programming skills, ideally with Java, Python, and/or C++.
- Proven experience building modern frontend applications, preferably with React.
- Hold, or be eligible for, SC Security Clearance.
Wider skills they look for:
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes etc.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, SQL databases, and Git version control.
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
- Familiarity with ground segment systems, CCSDS/ECSS standards, and schema formats such as SCOS-2000 or XTCE.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Software security best practices.
