Cyber Security Specialist

Location: Inverness/Highlands (5 Days Per Week Onsite)

Role: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

Clearance: BPSS Eligibility Required

F5 are delighted to be partnering with a leading technology organisation supporting a highly secure and complex customer environment.

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Specialist with a background in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Security Architecture, and Vulnerability Management.

This is a critical position responsible for driving security governance, risk management, compliance, vulnerability assessment and security design assurance across a multi-technology environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring security-by-design principles are embedded within all solutions whilst maintaining alignment to industry frameworks including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Experience Required

• Strong experience within Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and security risk management.
• Experience operating as a Security Architect, Technical Design Authority (TDA) or similar security leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, NIST and ITIL.
• Good understanding of Zero Trust security principles.
• Experience advising on cloud, network, infrastructure and identity security.
• Experience supporting audits, assurance reviews and compliance programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing vulnerability assessment and remediation activities.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working within highly secure or regulated environments.
• Security architecture or industry-recognised cyber security certifications.
• Experience designing and implementing security governance processes.
